The cottage is part of the traditional stone-built farm building.
The inside is simple and homely with a woodburning stove and supply of logs from site. It is furnished mostly with up-cycled vintage or antique pieces in keeping with the buildings.
The kitchen area has been renovated using reclaimed materials and traditional lime plaster and finishes.
There is central heating throughout.
Upstairs there's 1 double and 1 twin bedroom.
The living room has a dining table with an old-fashioned wooden window seat & sitting area with a sofa, sofabed and woodburner. There's a fully equipped kitchen (fridge with a freezer box & gas cooker), bathroom (with shower above bath) and porch.
There is a TV and Wi-fi available. No mobile reception in the buildings, only on higher ground.
No washing machine - sorry.
Included in prices are all-cotton linen, towels, wood for log-burner, heating, gas and electricity.
You're welcome to bring your family dog (provided they're well behaved). We have a £2/night charge for dogs.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request.
There is an outdoor terrace with a fire pit, a BBQ and a couple of sun-loungers available to use.
We have a swing in a tree and some outdoor games available; you can hang a badminton net in the back garden or a hammock by the lake.
You can usually buy eggs from smallholdings on the lane (walking distance).
You can walk to the local shops in Pont-tyweli and Llandysul, or it's a 7 min. drive along the lane.
We will have a welcome basket of basics (ie. tea, coffee, sugar, milk, oil, salt & pepper) ready for you to get started.
You can order a Local/Organic produce food box via Green Bean Organics and have it delivered free to Penpynfarch.
Mill Stream Cottage can be hired together with The Wren's Nest across the yard.
